AJA – ASIA PROMOTES YEREVAN SHOW 2014 TO THAI JEWELERS

Armenian Jewellers’ Association delegation from Asia Chapter meets with the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association in Bangkok, Thailand.

On 22 August 2014, an Armenian Jewellers’ Association delegation headed by Honorary Consul of Armenia to Thailand and AJA Vice President Mr. Arto Artinian officially met with the President of the Thai Gems and Jewelry Traders Association, Mr. Somchai Phornchindarak as well as Mr. Jarudol Tulyagijja, Mr. Chompool Phornchindarak, Mr Kasem Nitasanajarkul, Ms Nareerat Charoennaphatsakul as well as other TGJTA Directors, to present, promote and discuss possibilities of officially promoting the YEREVAN SHOW 2014 to Thai participants and potential exhibitors.

Following initial welcoming notes and exchange of business cards, the president of TGJTA Mr. Somchai Phornchindarak welcomed the AJA delegation praising the goodwill of AJA for the second official meetings in the sidelines of discussion to further develop the Armenian and Thai jewelry industry collaboration and mutual development. Following the welcoming remarks, a 20 minutes video clip presentation was aired on the progress and drive of the Thai Gem and Jewelry industry and growth of the biannual Thai gem and jewelry trade fair exhibitions throughout the years to becoming one of the top jewelry exhibitions globally attracting thousands of business to business visitors and exhibition participants from all around the globe.

Afterwards Mr. Arto Artinian introduced the YEREVAN SHOW 2014 details and prospects to the directors of TGJTA and emphasized on the competence of AJA in organizing the high level exhibition standards for the show organized in Yerevan for the fourth consecutive year and placed the big emphasis on the magnitude of support and assistance which the YEREVAN SHOW has seen from the entire tier of the Armenian government and to the personal patronage of  H.E. Serzh Sargsyan, the president of the Republic of Armenia. Mr. Artinian went on to elaborate on the business possibilities which the YEREVAN SHOW 2014 brings to Thai jewelers especially for precious and semi-precious gemstone companies which may find potentially good business prospects at the YEREVAN SHOW 2014. Following Arto Artinian’s presentation the AJA team went over the YEREVAN SHOW 2014 proposal dossier submitted to meeting attendants, describing the “10 Reasons Why To Attend and Participate the YEREVAN SHOW 2014” and going over the Application Forms, The Exhibitor Packages and the Terms and Conditions of the participation enhanced by added services provided by the Exhibition organizer.

After the presentations were completed the Directors of the TGJTA showed genuine interest in promoting the YEREVAN SHOW to Thai Exhibitors and further exploring levels of collaboration with the Armenian Jewellers Association. Inquiries regarding the size of the Exhibition hall, the number of exhibitors and visitors as well as many issues relating to taxation and customs rules and regulation were equitably addressed by Mr. Arto Artinian, clarifying the various Armenian government initiatives and conditions laid out for the promotion and ease of doing business during the YEREVAN SHOW 2014.

Mr. Arto Artinian also re-iterated his personal invitation to the president of TGJTA as well as his colleagues to visit the YEREVAN SHOW 2014 and witness firsthand the forward-thinking nature of gem and jewelry business sentiments in Armenia. Following comprehensive discussions, an agreement was reached to move forward toward an MOU which will pave the way for closer mutual cooperation between the TGJTA and AJA trade exhibitions as well as parallel jewelry and gem industry collaborations in upcoming shows beginning 2015 and beyond.
