On Wednesday the 26th of September the Consulate of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Thailand, celebrated the 27th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia at a formal reception held at the St. Regis Bangkok, hosted by Honorary Consul Mr. Arto Artinian and Mrs. Sirin Artinian.
The focal theme of the event was dedicated to the 2800th Anniversary of the foundation of the capital city Yerevan – Erebouni, and featured the #Yerevan2800 #VisitYerevan exhibition of historic photos of the capital city’s history and timeline, organized in collaboration with the head of the Tourism Department of the Municipality of Yerevan Mr. Gevorg Orbelyan, showing the historic milestones, noteworthy buildings of Yerevan, the heritage, landmarks, public parks and famous sculptures and statues, articulating the “Let’s Celebrate Together” slogan for the upcoming festivities for the October 2018 celebrations, with a call to all guests to visit Yerevan in October 2018.
The formal reception was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, Royal Thai Government representatives, diplomatic and consular representatives, Ambassadors, Chargé d’affaires, Honorary Consuls, the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce leadership, foreign Chambers of Commerce leaders, distinguished businessmen, media representatives, prominent expat community leaders, the Armenian Community of Thailand, the family and friends of Mr. Arto and Mrs. Sirin Artinian.
In his speech, Honorary Consul Mr. Arto Artinian talked about unity, change and peace, adding ”Armenians today, in Armenia and the vast diaspora stand side by side, united and supportive of the leadership of PM Nikol Pashinyan, to work collectively and contribute for the continuous growth and the development of the Armenian nation, a nation which witnessed a generation change in its leadership, one which strives to lead the country to the next level of innovative growth, economic and civic progress”.
Addressing to the business community in Thailand Mr. Arto Artinian conveyed an invitation to; “to explore the opportunities that Armenia has to offer by promoting various collaborations in parallel sectors such as IT, tourism, agriculture, ultimately enhancing our bilateral trade volumes“.
The formal reception was appreciated by the dignitaries who were delighted to enjoy the artful and cultural Armenian atmosphere, the wonderful Armenian jazz performance of Marbey – Marine Hakobyan and pianist-composer Garik Saribekyan, the delicious Armenian cuisine, imported ArmAs wine and Ararat brandy Nairi and Dvin, and the #Yerevan2800 #VisitYerevan exhibition of remarkable photos showing the legacy of the past and modern day vibrancy and charm of the beloved Capital city for all Armenians’ Yerevan.
